Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the use of the StudyBase learning platform — the studybase.ai website, the StudyBase mobile application, and the related services (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box at registration, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. We record the time of your acceptance.

Effective date: September 1, 2026Version: 2.0

This document is published in English, Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian. The Hebrew version is the binding version; translations are provided for convenience.

1. Who operates the Service

The Service is operated by StudyBase, Israel (“StudyBase”, “we”, “us”).

The Service is directed primarily at users in Israel and is provided in English, Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian.

2. Acceptance and changes to these Terms

You accept these Terms by marking the acceptance box when you register, and by continuing to use the Service afterwards. If you do not agree to the Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date and notify account holders through the Service a reasonable time before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Nothing in an update deprives you of rights granted to you by mandatory law.

3. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for school students, teachers, parents and guardians, school administrators, and independent learners.

If you are under 18, you may use the Service only through your school, or with the approval of a parent or legal guardian. Where a user under 18 registers outside a school deployment, the parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the minor’s use of the Service. Where a school has engaged StudyBase, the school arranges access for its students in accordance with its own authority and the school’s agreement with us.

Certain artificial-intelligence features are restricted by school grade, as described in section 7 and in our Privacy Policy. The platform applies these restrictions on our servers, based on the grade level recorded for the student’s account.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your account details up to date. An account is personal; do not share your credentials or let anyone else use your account.

4. The Service

StudyBase provides digital learning tools: AI-assisted lessons and practice, homework assignment and submission, quizzes and challenges, live classroom sessions, progress tracking, and communication tools for teachers, students, and parents.

The Service evolves continuously. We may add, change, or discontinue features. Where a feature is offered as a pilot or beta, it is identified as such and may change or end without notice.

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we do not commit to a specific availability level in these Terms. Availability commitments for schools, where they exist, are set out in the written agreement with the school.

5. Use through a school

When you use the Service through a school, the school’s written agreement with StudyBase governs the school’s deployment, and the school decides which features are enabled for its students.

For personal data processed in a school deployment, the school is the controller of its students’ educational records and StudyBase processes that data on the school’s behalf and instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Teachers and school administrators must use the Service only within their role and only for the school’s educational purposes.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes. In particular, you must not:

  • access or attempt to access another person’s account or data;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or harmful, or that contains malicious code;
  • harass, bully, or abuse other users, including through content submitted to AI features;
  • probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security measures;
  • scrape the Service or use automated means to extract content or data at scale;
  • use the Service to develop a competing product, or resell access without our written consent;
  • misuse AI features, including attempts to make them produce content that violates these Terms or the law.

We may remove content and restrict or suspend accounts that violate this section, as described in section 13.

7. AI-generated content

Parts of the Service generate content using artificial-intelligence models — for example lessons, practice questions, hints, explanations, and feedback. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is an educational aid, not an authoritative source: verify important information, and rely on your teachers and official curriculum materials for graded and formal work.

AI features are subject to grade-based rules that we apply on our servers, based on the grade level recorded for the student’s account, in line with Israeli Ministry of Education guidance: no AI features in grades 1–3; grade 4 is referred to the Ministry’s own tools; grades 5–7 use AI features in teacher-mediated sessions; from grade 8, students may use AI features independently. Where required, use of AI features by younger students is subject to approval by a parent or guardian.

The Service does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice, and AI output must not be treated as such.

8. Your content

You (or your school) retain ownership of content you submit to the Service — for example uploaded documents, homework answers, photographs of written work, and messages (“User Content”).

You grant StudyBase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display User Content solely to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service — including processing described in our Privacy Policy, such as AI-assisted feedback on submitted work. This licence lasts as long as the content is retained in the Service and is limited to those purposes.

You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the rights needed to submit it.

9. StudyBase’s intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the structure and arrangement of its content — belongs to StudyBase or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended educational purposes. Course materials and other content made available to you within the Service may be used for your own learning (or, for teachers, for teaching within your school) and may not be copied at scale, redistributed, or commercially exploited outside the Service.

10. Fees

Core parts of the Service may be offered free of charge. Paid plans or paid school deployments, where offered, are governed by the price, term, renewal, and cancellation conditions presented at the point of purchase or set out in the written agreement with the school.

Where a paid subscription is offered to consumers in Israel, cancellation rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, apply, and nothing in these Terms limits them.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Service — including its accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement — beyond those that cannot be excluded.

Educational outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. StudyBase supports learning; it does not guarantee grades, exam results, or admission outcomes.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law: StudyBase shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or loss of profits; and our total aggregate liability for claims arising from or connected to the Service shall not exceed the amounts you (or your school, for claims arising from a school deployment) paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ILS 1,000 if that amount is higher.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Israeli law, including liability for wilful misconduct, and nothing in these Terms derogates from mandatory rights granted to consumers or to data subjects under Israeli law.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. For accounts provisioned by a school, access is managed by the school and ends in accordance with the school’s agreement with us.

We may suspend or restrict an account, or remove content, where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been violated, where necessary to protect the Service or its users, or where required by a school administrator acting within their authority. Where practicable we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond.

Sections that by their nature survive termination — including sections 8, 9, 11, 12, and 15 — continue to apply.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, published at studybase.ai/privacy, describes what personal data we process, for what purposes, who receives it, and the rights you have. It forms part of the framework governing your use of the Service.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes arising from or connected to these Terms or the Service shall be brought before the competent courts in Israel. For disputes with a school under a written agreement, the parties may agree on the venue in that agreement.

These Terms are published in four languages. The Hebrew version is the binding version; translations are provided for convenience.
